Thanksgivings of the Past
Do you remember Waking up on Thanksgiving day and knowing what your plans were. You knew that in a few hours, you would be surrounded by family, food, fun, and a spades table. You knew it would be loud and funny and full. Thanksgiving's have been small and short for years now. But I feel like its time for that to change.
We had a great family reunion this summer. As we sat and enjoyed the company of each other and gathering as a family for the first time in that magnitude in years, we lost a special family member. Lisa was a stand-up person and would tell you how she felt and still tell you she loved you. It was that aspect of our family that I love. Lisa will be missed.
With that said, I really want our family to spend more times together where we are enjoying each others company instead of laying a loved one to rest. Thanksgiving is a great way to start that tradition back up. I don't know where this can take place as far as locations, but I would love to see it happen. For now, pull out your Thanksgiving photos, and lets start sharing the memories. Tell your stories. Lets keep the process of pulling our family back together.
